NANAIMO � The provincial government is supporting the work of the Tillicum Haus Native Friendship Centre and the Nanaimo Men�s Resource Society with one-time-only funding, Children and Family Development Minister Stan Hagen announced while visiting Nanaimo today. The funding will also help as they work towards the goal of organizing a planning forum for the Vancouver Island region. �We are committed to supporting Aboriginal Early Childhood Development programs in our province, � said Hagen. �This funding will assist communities as they determine what their individual needs are at a local level. � The Nanaimo Men�s Resource Society is receiving $35, 000 to help with awareness and training related to the Dads Make a Difference fathering program.
