Visual Writing Prompts Story Starters: Tower Window For this writing prompt, you've climbed into a stone tower and are looking out a window. Outside, wind blows in the tree tops, sounding a lot like this: Visual Writing Prompts Story Starters: Tower Window Where in the world is this tower located? Is this a castle tower or a lonely watchtower? Who lives here and why? Or perhaps the building is abandoned. Why? What do you smell? Dust, mold, the stench of mice? Is it hot or warm outside but cold inside or is this tower a welcome shelter from the chill wind? What can you see through the window? How do the stones feel against your hand as you peer out? When you gaze at this picture, what story theme comes to mind? Freedom from captivity? Forgiveness of the unforgiveable? Redemption for a fallen soul? Do you see a character poised at the window? Who is this, and what does he or she want? What fears hold this character back? What are the strengths that will save this person? How does all of this suggest or reinforce a theme?

Comes with a indoor color display unit, an outdoor wind unit and an outdoor temperature/humidity unit. It looks pretty much like this one but Costco sku is slightly different. It's useful, even with Google Home or Alexa setting next to it where you can ask for outdoor readings. The local sensor often differs by a couple of degrees. A few comments: - It's more of a "colorful" display rather than color - the colors are fixed on the LCD panel and don't change. - The indoor temp reads about one degree C high because of internal heat from the display backlight (turn off the backlight and you'll see it drop to match other thermometers) - The wind reading isn't very accurate in true km/hr - It doesn't show atmospheric pressure, but rather a guess at the upcoming weather based on rising/falling pressure reading plus temp and humidity - Too many buttons to press to get the settings functions or check min/max readings.
