The ESP32 is programmed to understand the MQTT data sent from the Raspberry Pi via WiFi, so now the weather station can control the awning with a little bit of logic code in Node-RED. January 23, 2018 Johannes Smit wanted to be able to view the live data from his SWR WH2303 weather station and send it to a database. Whilst the weather data acquisition software that he paid for worked well, he thought that there must be a cheaper and more fun way to grab the data. But unfortunately the manufacturers would not respond to his request for the RF protocol specifications. So Johannes decided to reverse engineer the protocol using his RTL-SDR instead. Johannes has submitted to us a document that very nicely details his every step taken when reverse engineering the weather station (Google docs document). He starts by confirming the signal frequency in GQRX, and then attempting to see is the rtl_433 could already recognise the signal. Whilst rtl_433 saw something, it was unable to decode the packet properly.

This is a very scenic ride. Connect at Martigny for Brig. From there, to Andermatt. That sector is part of the Glacier Express route. Then from Andermatt to Göschenen to Luzern. But this is only a tiny segment of the Gotthard Panoramic. Suggest you take the train at Flüelen (means one change at Erstfeld) which then allows you to take the boat to Luzern. (As if you were taking the Wm Tell Express/Gotthard Panoramic). For places to stay along this route - the most obvious one is Zermatt. But if you don't want to be with other tourists, or at least with few tourists then stop at one of the little villages in the Ober Goms valley. Reckingen, Münster or Ulrichen for example. All these have stations along the rail line you will be on. Leaving Luzern for Montreux on the Goldenpass line - you have train changes anyway at Interlaken Ost, Spiez and Zweisimmen. From Zweisimmen you could head up the Simmental and stay in Lenk. Or stop off on the Brünig pass part of the journey and stay in Lungern or Sarnen.
The wines 🍷were amazing. I particularly liked their Chardonnay. The grounds 🍇 were spacious and beautiful. They had seating close to the wine pouring area and plenty more at small tables and chairs for couples as well as large tables for bigger groups throughout the spacious backyard area. The service was excellent. The staff educated us on wine 🍷, joked with us and made sure to remind patrons who may have gotten a little tipsy on their delicious wines to get a taxi Lyft or Uber. We enjoyed the experience so much (including the wine 🍷, the atmosphere and the service) we came back the next day. We'll be back next time we are in town. Been coming here for a few years and never disappointed. For the first time we recently brought our 4 month old puppy and had a nice experience. They have a designated dog area with tables and chairs in a gravel area.
