The indiscriminate slaughter of civilians is a crime against humanity. The Nigerian army, though, is little better. Its human rights record is so terrible that the Leahy Law prevents the US from doing much to help it. The Nigerian government says it is fighting to take back Baga, but there is no independent confirmation of that. The army sometimes avoids fighting Boko Haram and, even when it does fight, it is so heavy-handed sometimes that it winds up killing more civilians than Boko Haram fighters. It has been fighting Boko Haram, with little success, since 2009. Boko Haram became world famous in 2014 when they kidnapped over 200 schoolgirls in the town of Chibok. Some have since escaped, some are dead, most are still missing. Boko Haram took yet more young women during this massacre. – Abagond, 2015. Update (October 17th 2017): The death toll is estimated to be some 700 people, making it the second worst terrorist attack in the world since 9/11. If you're visiting Johannesburg in the summer, bring an umbrella and waterproof shoes, but don't bother with waterproof clothing as you'll find conditions too muggy and warm for that. Autumn in Johannesburg Autumn is one of the most popular times to visit Johannesburg as there are fewer crowds and less rain, but the mild temperatures persist. Average daily highs in March are around 23°C, falling to 18°C in May, but nights will begin to get chilly as autumn persists and by May overnight lows of 7°C will fee shivery. You will still see some rain in March and April, but by May the rain has all but disappeared. If you're visiting Johannesburg in early spring, take an umbrella - in late spring, you probably won't need to bother. What to pack for Johannesburg? As the weather in Johannesburg is mostly hot, visitors prefer to wear casual dresses like denims, t-shirts, skirts etc. Be careful when you are going to restaurants because some of the upper-class restaurants may not allow your casual wear.
I read some reviews before deciding to give this place a try. It goes to show that sometime others experience can be different. Most reviews said this place had horrible customer service,... If I could give 0 stars I would. This business sold my brother a transmission for a car with a VIN number for truck. The transmission became inoperable 2 weeks after being installed. They are... When a customer calls, is told the car they're looking for IS on the lot, drives an hour to get there... THE CAR BETTER BE THERE!! I called this place and was told that the vehicle I needed to... I have been to Brandywine Foreign many times and have always been treated with great customer service! I always have a pleasant experience. Jonathan is amazing!!! Knowledgeable plus great customer... Horrible experience wouldn't send my dog here. Bad customer service from associates and manger. If I could give 0 stars I would.

J enn Caldwell is a hospital nurse in Kansas City, Missouri. By her estimate, she has cared for nearly three dozen Covid-19 patients since the pandemic began, and her close friend, a fellow nurse, has died from the virus. When she developed an upset stomach consistent with Covid-19 she lost her composure. She curled up in a ball, cried and hyperventilated. Later, Caldwell wrote down all her financial account information, put it in her lockbox and texted her 20-year-old daughter the code. "It's so random who is getting Covid and dying. There was a definite panic, a definite freak-out, " Caldwell said, a member of the union National Nurses United. "It heightens my anxiety and paranoia … I didn't feel like I had any before. " What Caldwell experienced is exactly the sort of stress that will test America's commitment to the mental health of the nurses and doctors, experts say – the very people healing the nation during the Covid-19 pandemic. And mental health practitioners, who themselves might be working in affected hospitals, are bracing for a surge of need in the coming months.
