The parks are also very beautiful in the summer and always packed full of people who are enjoying the many water sports that are available. Downingtown has been one of the best area I've lived in. Downingtown has it all! Great schools, convenient location, amazing locally owned and run restaurants, plus a weekly farmers market that helps support local business. It is a family friendly town with several local parks and tons of activities to help a family stay healthy. The turkey trot on Thanksgiving morning and the Good Neighbor Day races are two of the bigger 5k races that the town sponsors.

Biscuits have seen us through good times and bad — especially the bad if the grisly Covid summer of 2020 is anything to go by. Biscuits have seen us through good times and bad — especially the bad if the grisly Covid summer of 2020 is anything to go by According to the market research firm Kantar, in the three months leading up to July 12 we spent an extra £19 million on biscuits. And, now, as various restrictions sweep across the country once again, the timing of Collingham's tome could not be better. Throw in a new series of The Great British Bake Off, with biccies inevitably bringing joy to some, tears to others, and it's tempting to suggest that the humble biscuit has never had it so good. It's been a long history, possibly going back as far as the Neolithic era but certainly to the Romans, whose 'panis biscoctus' comprised bread baked twice to make it crisp and longer lasting — and biscuits do last a long time. The earliest surviving example dates back to 1784 and is a 'ship's biscuit', so named because they were given as rations to British sailors 200 or so years earlier during the Spanish Armada.

Basically, I'm fairly easy too please I like a good hotel with nice food and drink, the beach is important (that looks lovely) and ideally a nice calm sea (I think I'm going to be disappointed with that). Ideally about 28-30 degrees and dry. I've only been to the Canaries once and wasn't impressed so I hope its not like that. I'll be honest I have thought about cancelling and going with the safe Caribean but my husband says don't be so boring so if its bad I can blame him!! Have you been on the Cape Verde 24 site - there are a lot of photo's on there - look like a desert no palm trees and I don't think there is much to do as far as sightseeing goes but we will probably try to take a trip to one or two of the other islands if we can. 4. hi mazdalaydee Thanks for your input and see you are "in the same boat as us" not knowing what to expect. It would be a help for all of us if we could hear from someone who has acutally been to the Islands. Can anyone out there help us?????????? 2 posts 5.
