Malaria While the impact of malaria in many territories around the world are insignificant, it is in specific territories that the death count caused by this disease has reached endemic proportions. While the mortality rate has significantly declined over the years, a little over 400, 000 people still died of the disease in 2018. Caused by mosquito bites, malaria is prevalent in areas such as Africa, South America, and some parts of Asia. Homicide/Crime Homicide, or directly and deliberately causing the death of a person, takes over 400, 000 lives around the world. A much larger figure of these deaths belongs to the 15 to 49 year old demographic. The distribution of homicide rates per country is not proportional, with territories such as Guatemala, Venezuela, and Mexico having homicides as over 6% of total deaths, while the norm is at less than 1%. Malnutrition Malnutrition is, unfortunately, still one of the leading causes of death especially in countries where poverty is prevalent and access to standard nutrition is lacking.
So my stats are 166 and 3. 64. I'm a POC nURM and I have a year of work experience since undergrad. Not 100% sure of my career goals but I'm interested in international law, immigration/PI, and litigation/arbitration. I'm open to BL, but it's not a priority, and I'm okay with practicing anywhere on the East or West Coast as long as the weather is warm (DC, CA, etc). Here are my results this cycle so far. I applied to schools mid-December but went complete with a lot of them in early Feb after the Jan LSAT score got released: A: ASU (O'Connor Merit Scholars Program $$. 5) WL: UVA, Berkeley, Emory (Priority), UCI R: GULC, UCLA, USC, GW, W&M Ghosted: Vandy, UNC. While I'd totally be happy attending ASU and working in Phoenix after graduating, I got waitlisted/rejected from a lot of schools that I considered to be targets/safeties, and I can't help but think that I could do better if I R&R and study more for the LSAT (I only studied for 2-3 months ish). I totally wouldn't mind waiting for another year at all tbh.
