Everyone will see rain, and there may be power outages due to strong winds as a squall line sweeps through. The storm system has already caused damage from severe storms and tornadoes in parts of Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee. Heavy snow and ice were reported from Texas and Oklahoma to Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and Michigan. Our winds today, without the storms, will gust to 30+ mph. Then a squall line of severe storms will arrive late tonight and into the overnight. It's looking like 'prime time will be 7 pm until around Midnight. Our greatest threat looks to be potentially damaging winds of 50-60 mph but there could also be isolated tornadoes, a brief period of heavy rain, and some lightning. Once the storms are offshore we'll have fast clearing Friday with temperatures more than 20 degrees cooler. And with gusty winds it's going to feel much colder.
